This is true for many of the top holiday destinations such as Sydney, Cairo, and Dubai. Thus, if you can organize a group trip versus a couples or small family holiday, there is a much higher chance that the overall cost of the holiday for each individual will be far less.
You should also keep in mind that there are huge differences in expenses in different locations, a city such as Berlin, Geneva, Tokyo or Moscow will be far more expensive in general than other destinations.
Many items such as hotels, food and drinks will be considerably less expensive in cities such as Bangkok, Phnom Phen, Buenos Aires and even some western destinations such as Canberra, Dublin and Las Vegas.
